For ES its harder, but for HS, some of our kids work, do speciality camps, summer swim and other sports and there isn't a lot of time with just 8 weeks. Our kids go back in early-mid August for sports training and marching band.[/quote] Yeah, if you have to commit to 8 weeks for a job (which mine had to, to get the job), and then have to be back for sports tryouts, that equals exactly ZERO summer break. It's a bummer. I hate that the sports tryouts are so early, but they need to get them going so they keep track with schools that start earlier, so everyone is on the same schedule for championships, I think.[/quote]
