I bet your consider yourself to be an open-minded, tolerant Democrat, OP. You voted for this and you'll vote for it again, for the virtue signaling and social cred it provides you with friends, online and off. Be honest with yourself.
I’m not sure how many times I can say it. I’m tolerant of a lot of things. I’ve lived in DC for decades partly because I love this city. But what I’m obviously not tolerant of are loser reckless pot-smoking drivers that put my life and my kids lives at risk as they recklessly drive through my neighborhood at all hours of the day and night. Is that really so difficult to understand? And the attitude that I’m the bad guy or that intolerance for this nonsense makes me a racist is one of the reasons this city is going to sh*t.
All of these frequent and “reckless” acts must be resulting in some sort of measurable increase in accidents, right? Do you have any examples of this recent uptick in accidents in your neighborhood? Or do you just have a gut feeling?
DP: DC records dozens of crashes every day that merit a police report. We can only speculate how many crashes occur that don't end up in an police metric. Judging by the number of car parts I see laying around in the mornings on some streets, it has to be substantial. The one saving grace of weed vs alcohol is that the stoned driver is probably going a lot slower than your typical drunk driver. That's probably why the roads are littered with hub caps and bumpers instead of body bags.
