This does not track. She is one of the celebrities that works most with people she’s worked with before. Ike Barinholtz was on the Mindy project with her 15 years ago and they continue to collaborate closely and he is one of the producers on her current show. I see people from the Mindy project and never have I ever pop up on the secret lives of college girls and running point.

I’m only a casual fan, but I know she has 3 young kids, seems to love to travel with them, and must be super busy given the number of projects she has. She’s a big time producer and writer and obviously has an interest in fashion - she’s on many a red carpet, industry event and she goes to the Met Gala. Nothing about her life screams loner to me. Seems like she leads a full life and doesn’t need a man? [/quote]

I’m not the PP you’re reporting to, and I definitely think Mindy lives a full and fulfilling life but I do think she is a bit of a loner. I’m a fan and I’ve listened to a lot of interviews she’s given as well as read/listened to her audiobooks and she  many, many times openly describes herself as someone who rarely goes out, has social anxiety, has a very small social circle, is petty, holds a grudge, lives a life very different than what she photographs on social media etc etc. She is not hiding these things about herself and I find that refreshing! I do find the discrepancy between what she describes vs what she shows on social media confusing, but that’s why I stay off insta. She does seem to have a chip on her shoulder about being a single mom (I recently read something she wrote about this being rare in Hollywood, which was a shocker to me and definitely not my perception) and feeling like people are secretly pitying her about it (I honestly think most women would prefer to be in her situation than have the incompetent husbands that so many women around me seem to describe!), so maybe there’s some pressure she feels to show a perfect life too. I do feel she is very different than what she portrays on social media but very similar to what she depicts in her writing, which I find to be very honest and authentic. [/quote]
