Americans are very uptight about bodies and nudity. It was no big deal to this woman, no different than washing the kids face, although they are a bit on the older side. I would have put them in underwear and turned on the shower. We were at a NYC playground that had a water thing to play on. A group of tourists from Northern Europe came to play and the girls around 5 or 6 took their shirts off to go in water. I had been hesitant to take my 5 year olds shirt off but then I followed their lead. At this age there’s no reason a boy can take his shirt off to go play in water but a girl has to get her shirt soaking wet.
These posts about Americans get so tiring. Of course the ONLY other culture that matters is Western European. My immigrant husband (not from Europe) would be pissed in this situation. It would not be okay to bath another parent’s third grader or have two bath together. Guess it’s not just Americans who are uptight about nudity!
