Emory mom feels obliged to defend Emory at every turn, even when the thread has nothing to do with the school. She keeps harping on the 8.5% acceptance rate and the 43,000 applications, as if they are some unbeatable gold standard. She so so so wishes Emory is ranked higher. It's embarrassing.[/quote]
