LOL—“this summer.” Were any special benefits offered during the Red Line closures in 2024? No?? And that was under the Biden Administration. You expect a handout from Trump?
Telework was offered during Biden's administration.
But not specifically for workers affected by WMATA station closures. There were no special handouts for those on the east side of the Red Line and likewise, those on the west side will get nothing.
Since I could telework 80% of the time anyway, there wasn’t really a need for a special handout. And since lots of other people could telework too, traffic and parking lots etc was a lot better.
Comical that that poster thinks they can comment for all fed offices. My fed office did not make East side people come in at all but we were all only 1 day a week.
+1 most fed jobs that were 5 days in office without much flexibility or ad hoc telework in 2024 were jobs that actually needed to be done in person. It makes sense there was less agency-wide guidance at that time People here just love to put others down. In another world others would be rooting for feds to get flexibility as that would mean some private companies would likely follow plus the roads are less congested for all. But no, let's cheer on someone's misery instead
