That’s the whole point! It’s stupid, right? He’s only 7! No one has any idea if he’ll be a good 20yo soccer player. And literally who cares if he is or not, besides him .

You don’t even know if your 14yo is going to be a good 20yo soccer player. Or your 17yo!

Anyone go to WT Woodson in the late 90s? Abe Thompson was an amazing soccer player. Like out of this world! But he wasn’t the guy on that team that ended up with the most professional soccer success, was he? If you asked anyone at our school in 1999 which guy was gonna up on the men’s national team roster , it would have unanimously been Abe. But it wasn’t.
