Thankfully like the other poster I rarely have to do it but it is definitely possible to do safely in a pinch. Remember door knobs are dirtier than toilet seats. The key is hand washing which is also really important with tampons (which are more likely than discs or cups to require changing in public bathrooms.)[/quote]
