[/quote] January 1999, right around the 15th there was an ice storm that knocked out power in our neighborhood in Bethesda for days. I remember it well because I had to hand-write my college application essay as I couldn't print it out and then I walked several miles in the snow/ice to the post office to mail it as my parents wouldn't drive on the icy roads.
