Do we still have a limit of 5 snow days? we can't miss so many days
School is already closed Thursday and Friday of next week and there’s a 2 hour early release on Wednesday, so they’d be burning 2 full snow days and a fraction of a third at worst.
If schools are open 2 hours late on Wednesday there no early release ? with 12 inches schools closed Monday and Tuesday, If open Wednesday it will be 2 hour late.
Wednesday is an early release due to the end of the quarter. I don’t think there’s a protocol to cancel a scheduled early release due to a weather related 2 hour delay on the same day. They will cancel or open on time Wednesday (you know, pending an actual storm.) However, since the two hour early release is already baked into the total required 990 instructional hours, if school were to close on Wednesday, it wouldn’t count as a full day against the snow day bank. They’d save 2 hours because the schools were supposed to be closed anyway.
+1 they would not have a 2 hr delay on an already scheduled early release day. They will just cancel school.
