Not a small college but at least a small town, and piggybacking off the Ohio idea: What about Kent State? Very strong languages, and people sleep on their fashion and design degrees. I don’t know if they have a digital design program that stands alone, but I have heard good things about their Animation and Game Design degree. Everyone who I knew who has gone there either went straight into design or fashion in NYC or is on the spectrum or both. You would have to drive across PA which would be a pain. Car not necessary on campus, though.
I’ll check it out! MIL graduated from Kent State. My husbands family is from Ohio. Further out but worth it if we can find a good fit. She’s 6 years into Japanese including 9 dual enrollment credits so I know she wants to continue studying in college.
