A person who works for me has been screwing up lately and just is really not qualified for job. Ok person but they sense it too. I am wondering should I just off-board this week? Don’t want to do Xmas week or new years week. The impending doom is stressing the person so don’t feel I am helping much by letting them hang on. I don’t need to PIP or give notice. Is next week better than waiting to Jan? Or just rip off the bandaid?
How have you tried to help this person?
it is a train wreck, spelling errors, wrong statements, made up things, AI slop mixed in. When you ask to fix it comes back 10 percent fixed but he created 20 percent more erros. My favorite today he assigned an issue I told him to follow up on to a guy at work who died three years ago. He must have cut and paste off some old doc. Yea he was the guy in charge before he died a few years ago. He is like the husband who pretend he does not know how to cook so wife cooks everything then every time wife asks for help he burns stuff, makes a mess and breaks things till wife throws him out of kitchen as easier without him.
