If one waits several months, it’s too late. Many women don’t get tested or contract it after being tested. It’s the best way to prevent serious illlness and suffering. Have you ever seen anyone with hepatitis b? A child? With a totally preventable horrible illness?![/quote] I stayed at home after birth for a couple years. Neither DH nor I had hep B. Why would my baby need it until daycare or school? I believe in vaccines but asked the pediatrician to space out the number of shots they were giving and they accommodated that.[/quote]
