I havent read all the replies. Does this child normally wear pull ups or will this be a one time thing for the sleepover? My son just turned 8 and still wets the bed. He has been invited on a couple sleepovers so far. He still wants to go but I feel it would be best for everyone that he doesnt until he starts waking up dry. As of right now, its an every night occurrence. I just wash his bedding because he doesnt like wearing a pull up. He says their not comfortable and itchy and ended up taking them off before he went to sleep. It would be nice if he would wear something to avoid having to deal with laundry first thing in the morning. Not to mention that he hates waking up wet(usually soaked) in the morning. Barring sleepovers, any good tips on how to help someone that wont wear a pull up at home just because they arent comfortable.
Try different brands. My same age son will wear them without complaint but he leaks through them 80% of the time so we also change sheets almost every single day. I dont care about the bed wetting but the laundry is pushing me over the edge!!!
He just needs to get used to the idea of wearing it. Kids get over their insecurities quickly and he will discover it will make his morning routine much easier. We also had issues with the pull-ups leaking and switched to regular side fastening diapers for overnight. If you tape them very loose he can still put it on like a pull-up and then you can adjust it for fit. We’ve had good luck with the Target diapers for overnight.
