A good doctor is a rarity, and they're worth every penny. Sadly, most of them are in it for the money, and there's a reason for that. There's also a massive ego boost and the social clout that goes with saying "I'm a DOCTOR" like it means something about what kind of person you are. It really doesn't. In fact, to a lot of us, it means the opposite of what a lot of them seem to think.

The whole system is rotten from the inside and it's not just doctors' salaries that are the problem. But they're not commensurate with actual value, especially compared to some of the other professions people have slagged off on this thread. And to the idiot pps saying "don't go then", well, you're probably the same sort of idiots who think privacy doesn't matter as long as you're not doing something wrong. There's no help for you. Not even the best doctors can help stupid.[/quote]
