Most of this thread feels bizarre, inorganic and built upon a rickety framework of bogus strawmen ("DeMS ArE CoMMuNIstS!!!" "deMs ArE RacISts whO HatE AsIAns!!!" etc)
I'm a Dem and even I have to admit that the far left of our party are, indeed communists. And equity policies almost always discriminate against Asians.
The equity policies were put in place before most Asians were even in this country, to rectify wrongs in history. The policies have nothing to do with Asians therefore.
Affirmative action was quiet and understated and most people agreed with it or at least didn't push back that hard. When it 'morphed" into DEI it was front and center and discrimination became more of a feature people took notice. What happened at Harvard is a great example of DEI discrimination against Asians.
Asians aren't the only faction of people in this country who have been discriminated against. Many wrongs don't make a right. Good riddance to bigotry in all its forms. It's fine by me if skin color, religious beliefs, sexual preference and other personal identity characteristics that have no bearing on the quality of an applicant's profile actually have no bearing on the quality of an applicant's profile.
