The left made the mistake of supporting groups like that, the BLM extremists and the "river to the sea" sect of the Free Palestine movement. That extremism was a factor in the election and in the general backlash to wokeism. We need to be  cautious not to make the same mistake in appearing to be aligned with crazy people just because they are on the right.  [/quote]

I always find it interesting how people think of bigotry as if it is some sort of normal developmental stage that they "grow out of" like wetting the bed, temper tantrums, forming an identity, etc rather than what it actually is, which is a belief system. Somehow this "immaturity" is typically found among white people and not as pervasive among other ethic groups. Neither myself nor people I am close to went through a bigotry stage of development. Calling it "immaturity" lets them off the hook from actually challenging what they believe, why do they believe it, where did the beliefs come from, how do they think they benefit if they hold on to these beliefs, what do they think they will lose if they give up these beliefs, etc.

I don't think I have to shift my positions on things like crime and taxes because I disagree with some Young Republicans about racially charged comments that have nothing to do with policy. I wouldn't expect you to change your mind on abortion because Charlie Kirk was shot. [/quote]

I am so sick of your whataboutisms.  Stop the rationalization.  Stop the justification.  These are not kids, some of them wouldn't even be considered "young" adults.  They are just adults.  And their views are abhorrent. Turns out when we call today's GOP racists, sexist, homophobes and fascists, we are CORRECT.  These are the LEADERS of Young Republican groups.  Not randos or bots on social media.  The leaders.

And FFS stop the deflection.  DON'T use randos and bots that posted offensive things about Charlie Kirk or "BLM extremists" (who exactly were they?) to try and deflect.  The MAINSTREAM Dem leaders all reacted appropriate to Kirk's shooting.  They were simply appalled.  The vast majority of Democrats were appalled by the shooting.  Mainstream Dems have not and do not support riots or violence.  Stop lying about it to justify your party's embrace of violence and retribution.

And guess what, we are and were also appalled by the transparent use of such a horrible event as Kirk's death to lie and blame "libs" and Democrats for political violence by GOP LEADERS and our POTUS (!!!) while they called for more POLITICAL VIOLENCE.  The lies and the hypocrisy are simply staggering and indefensible.  So honestly, STFU with your sanctimonious BS.
