Yes, I agree that complaining directly to them is not proper "etiquette".  But one can still wonder where the social sense of the polluting individual is.  The answer is that it's nonexistent.  And so too, with the wood burners.  The same exact thing.[/quote]

You are the one making yourself upset. If it was a daily fire - and not because they are cooking over a brazier or something- that’s different.

Having an occasional fire/cig/loud party/whatever isn’t a big deal. At some point you might be the one impacting your neighbors, be gracious. [/quote]
