It's capitalism that is at odds with environmental realities. You cannot have infinite growth, which capitalism requires, on an infinite planet. We have to find a sustainable way to share the finite resources of this planet.

Free market capitalism is also a fantasy, and inevitably gathers power in the hands of the wealthy few, and dangles the carrot of riches to the masses through the lie of meritocracy. The markets aren't free, we have never been a meritocracy, and the only true measure of power in this country is dollars. [/quote]
