I mean, Miami is one of the highest income cities in the country. I'm in biglaw and make $2m+. DH is in financial services and makes $1m+.  We are DC transplants for 15+ years ago with jobs tied to DC/NY/LA/SF.  Our friends are doctors, lawyers and accountants, and most of our friends make seven figures.  Now you tell me about your high level professional job. [/quote]
Miami is definitely not representative of all of Florida. Miami is its own little state within Florida. Outside of Miami and some engineering jobs in Orlando, where are the high-paying FL jobs?[/quote]

I was responding to the PP who scoffed at the idea of ANY high level professional jobs in Florida. I think she forgot about Miami.  Again, folks living in their own DC bubble and not realizing there's a whole other world out there with different experiences.  [/quote]

PP here. I’m from Florida. I did not forget about Miami, whose economy is all about So America expat and trade, drug trade, and recently crypto.  All your friends are rent seekers not true capitalist endeavors making a product; you service wealthy people. [/quote]
