Drove by Marymount the other day and there appeared to be students walking around on campus. Everything looked ok. Are you sure there are problems?
It is indeed on warning with its accreditor. That is a big deal but it happens sometimes and could be corrected. This happened to UVA in the recent past with the same accreditor for another reason. It does not affect operations and is not about academic quality. Marymount's biggest problem is the president and the board that is blindly loyal to her. They renewed her contract days after the accreditation warning. The school is performing well in terms of national rankings and research and has some fine programs. Enrollment is good and students are thriving. It is a great neighborhood and asset to the community and educates students well. It needs dramatic change to survive. Hopefully the board comes to it's senses.
The state should buy Marymount and call it UVA Arlington Campus.
