[/quote] +1 in the final weeks of his life, my dad was in such agony that the maximum dose of morphine didn’t touch his pain. He stayed on the morphine and a fentanyl patch was added. He was still in pain, so a higher dose fentanyl patch was prescribed, still in combination with the maximum dose of morphine. Up until 6 weeks before he died, my dad wouldn’t even take Tylenol. I thank God that there were multiple options for treating his pain. It was traumatic to witness.[/quote]
