If the Park Police were out there arresting UNC DINKWADs for letting Fido run around Battery Kemble with leashless abandon or impounding MD-played Lexuses that have run up thousands in unpaid speeding camera fines, would you still so be gleeful? It’s cute how excited you get when people are arrested for committing ticketable offenses you don’t partake in yet recoil in horror at the enforcement of other laws you willfully disregard.
I would love it if they started arrested cyclists for their blatant disregard for pretty much all traffic laws, especially when they have children on board.
Aren't you worried about the trauma this would create in the children?
Maybe the kids would actually learn something about safety. Fascinating how drivers are required to protect their kids in car seats until they’re like 12 years old (which is a little overboard but on balance probably fine) while cyclists can do basically whatever with a kid on board who has essentially zero protection if an accident happens.
I saw a cyclist with what looked like a three month old in the basket on the front of her bike. That person should be arrested.
She should be given a civic award for bucking the trend of driving a giant suv just to haul around her 15 pound infant
