Awful. Hamas is condemnable and should be eliminated as a political entity without any power to govern the Palestinian people, or harm the Israeli and Palestinian people, moving forward.

I think what you perceive as “glossing over” is simply the reality of the statehood vs. lack of statehood question. It will always be far easier to focus on the human rights abuses of a nation with a sovereign government than it will be to focus on (and do anything about) the human rights abuses of a militia. For better or worse, the former is held to a much higher standard of conduct.[/quote]

Because you choose not to hold them to a higher standard. And is the crux of the issue. You give Hamas a slap on the wrist because you believe their sob story. Which is bs.

Many believe their propaganda because they don’t realize that Hamas is fighting for the ones who had conquered and colonized the land before.

Hamas was their “elected govt” . Hold Hamas to an equal standard as you do with Israel and you’ll get more people on your side.
