it was war.  And in the end the Soviets won, as will the Israelis, despite terrorist pinpricks all along the way.   The Germans suffered dramatically in the Soviet Union, and could avoided all their own losses had they not invaded to begin with, just as Hamas could have avoided all this by not invading on Oct 7. + 1 I don't understand how rational people can not hold Hamas, and all the Palestinian governing bodies that came before Hamas, accountable for the horrible state of the Palestinians. I don't see any pro-Palestinian protesters, who claim to be for peace, protesting against the violent, terrorists Hamas. Those protesters are not pro-peace -- the are pro-Palestine, at any cost, no matter the human suffering. And they cling to the delusion that someday they will win. They lost a long time ago. They are the losers and need to accept that. Negotiate a deal that's less than ideal, sooner rather than later so less Palestinians have to die. It's all they're going to get.[/quote]
