My husband is a partner in a law firm. He does not have to track or report PTO. Trust me, he’s working every vacation. No need to be jealous.

We are doing a 10 day trip to UK/France and a weeklong cruise with my in-laws. He will work at least some during both trips, I’m sure. [/quote]
Yes but many people actually have no PTO.  They don’t get paid if they don’t work.  Your husband has the option to not be a partner at a big law firm.  He’s probably being very well compensated for his “sacrifice” of working while in France. [/quote]

You also have the option to not take a job that does not offer PTO.  As someone with a job where I don't have to track or report PTO, the "compensation" for the roll never really replaces the sacrifice. [/quote]
