When they shared the backstory it became even more confusing. Only Danny, Kate and Jack are the college friends? Then Jack worked for Nick briefly until he got fired (he's a teacher now). I think I got that right. Anyway, I do not think Kate would be so chummy with her husband's rich boss who fired him's wife? I would think that's a very distant relationship. And why are Nick and Ann related to the college at all. Their kid wanted to go there? Or did one of them actually go to the college. I agree it doesn't make for such a close group as they are trying to be. [/quote]

I thought Danny, Kate, and Nick were the college friends. Kate met Jack in college and brought him into the group. [/quote]
