NP but this actually happens. We are the ones who don’t limit pasta salad, etc. mine grew about 6 inches during 9th grade. [/quote]

I don’t think it has much to do with eating habits, but some boys do grow in such a way. My older DS (later bloomer) grew 8-9 inches in 18 months during puberty. It all seemed to come at once. Documented by our pediatrician and on our doorframe at home. It was crazy.   My younger DS has had more steady growth during puberty (3 inches per year over a few years) rather than a big burst. Just different growth patterns. [/quote]
