Our son, a psychology major, has narrowed his acceptances down and is now torn about which of his two finalists, Georgia or Ohio State, he should commit to. Can anyone offer points of differentiation that perhaps we haven't thought of? This can be related to academics, student life , social, housing, dining, the respective locations, study abroad, alumni network, etc. Some notes: - Cost of Attendance is even between the two (after factoring in merit) - We are in Maryland and distance does not seem to be an issue although we realize Columbus is easier to get to. - He visited both for admitted students day, loved them both - Socially, he is interested in Greek Life but not fully adamant about it - he'll take time to learn more. - The warmer climate at Georgia does not seem to be a differentiator, either. Any insights or personal experiences with either school would be appreciated! Thank you!
Your son shouldn't be picking colleges based on their football teams.
It's implied by the title. Has anybody said he should? OP, ask your son which campus he thinks about more. Which one does he want to visit again? Which one had the more engaging / compelling admitted student event? Which feels right? That’s the school for him.
