[/quote] Yes! The reply that OP considers "bragging" is so much more informative and potentially helpful. Why the heck would anyone reply "yes" to Did your kid have a summer job? It is implied that more details are requested. Even for the first SAT question, giving the score is informative because it gives people an idea of what scores kids are ultimately happy with, and how many tries it took to get to that point.
