I miss Obama…
+1. Best President of my lifetime. I’m glad he’s speaking out now. People are at a loss of what to do with this unprecedented attack on govt and our economy.
And what did he do as president? “Obamacare” really done by Congress and started way before he was elected. He did safe the auto industry. What else?
Raised two beautiful educated daughters. His wife promoted healthy eating before RFK brainwork showed up, he worked well with our friends and allies, he won the Nobel peace prize, he had a magnificent portrait painted, he promoted the Arts, he was fit and healthy, he stepped down gracefully at end of his term, he was honorable and inspired loyalty from his staff, his White House photographer doted on him via photos l, etc. etc
That made him a good father and neighbor. The Nobel prize was an odd win for him. He may have had a good heart, but that isnt enough to make a good president. He dropped the ball on transparency and getting ACA through before the midterms. Bill Clinton could’ve gotten it done. I stand by my position the Obama would’ve done much better had he gotten more experience in Congress or as a governor or big city mayor before he became President. At best, he was OK.
What? But Bill Clinton didn’t get it done. Wasn’t that Hilary’s special project at the time? Didn’t people complain that Hilary — as First Lady — shouldn’t be involved in policy to that extent?
The point is that he COULD HAVE had he wanted to. And yes, universal healthcare was Hilary’s thing. But I don’t think he saw how that could be practically implemented. 🤷♀️
