I get that because you are tall you probably have super long legs that look great without heels.  Not so true for us shorties.  My legs look stumpy in dress pants without heels.  Jeans don't look so bad, but I need a few inches to look better in clothes (even when hemmed).

Now, for the old comment...My grandmother is almost 80 and still wears heels and looks great!  Then again, I've never seen her emerge from her bedroom without her hair and make up done and its never over done.  She just always looks classic.  I do suspect a facelift some time ago.[/quote]
