Because Bowser didn't factor human nature into her policies. She took away literally hundreds of miles of driving lanes, putting in bike lanes and 1 million flex posts and random curbs and islands. She has created much worse traffic resulting in drivers who are more frustrated and impatient than they've ever been at the same time you have pedestrians who have the sense of invincibility who stare at their phones and walk across any street expecting vehicles and electric bikes to stop for them. But those annoyed, late drivers are also districted by their phones.  I guess when pedestrians are inevitably hit and die, at least they had their point, right? This. The more you slow down traffic, the more incentive drivers have to make up lost time in unanticipated ways. Rolling stop signs for example or driving really fast when they know cameras arent looking. [/quote]

My goodness.

If you really believe that being “slowed down” gives you an excuse to speed or otherwise drive in a manner than endangers everyone else who might be using the road, PLEASE SEEK PSYCHOLOGICAL HELP. You suffer from narcissistic personality disorder and present a clear and present danger to yourself and everyone you might encounter on the road.

Attitudes like yours - which have grown in abundance as a result of whatever the pandemic did to our minds and to our culture - are precisely the reason so many people are dying in traffic accidents.

I shudder to think that one day you may be involved in one yourself and, should you be around to tell the tale, blame your reckless driving on impatience after a speed camera or other impediment forcing you to actually obey the law for a fleeting second.

Come to think of it, I’ll revise my advice for you: JUST DON’T DRIVE, ANYWHERE AT ANY TIME. Learn to ride a bike or take the bus. The rest of us would like to get home to our kids at night. Thanks.[/quote]
