When you buy a ticket for your pet to fly cargo, they won’t let you buy it if the weather is below a certain temp or over a certain temp in any area where you are flying. And they also tell you that if the temp unexpectedly goes above or below that temp, they will NOT take the dog in the plane and you will be SOL. You also need a layover of more than a certain time but less than a certain time (I think between 1 and 3 hours) as they don’t want the dog to miss the connection or to have to take care of the dog for a long layover. It’s actually super hard yo fly a dog cargo. For a brief moment there was a plane company that only flew dogs but I think they went out of business very quickly. This is one reason a lot of people give up their pets when they move — it’s really hard to transport them if you’re not driving cross country.[/quote]
