He felt that I was wrong to see the white tables as “white tables” because these were simply white INDIVIDUALS who, having something in common, decided to sit together. Yes, folks, he was completely incapable of seeing me and other students of color as individuals— rather than as a learning opportunities for people like him. [/quote]
