Other countries are cutting imports and travel to the US, affecting exporters and tourism. Cuts in federal funding to states will affect state spending and local jobs. Eventually things trickle down as all of the jobs and industries directly affected by federal spending contract and those people spend less on local goods and services. This doesn't take years, this could take three to six months. [/quote]
