Why?
He is not following Catholic laws
The Catholic Church is still protecting pedos. It’s literally still paying for lawsuits to protect the child abusers Catholics are a huge voting block a huge portion of MAGA . SCOTUS whose common denominator is … gave a conman immunity . Vance is not the only Catholic not following the church. He is a pos who has never ever read the Catholic Church teachings . He’s never once helped anyone but himself. His wife is no better.
Exactly which “Catholic laws” do you assert Vance is not following? As for the Alynskyite libel that the “Church is still protecting pedos,” as has been discussed countless times in other threads: 1. The Roman Catholic Church is the leader in abuse prevention efforts today. Nobody gets near a minor without a background check and anti-abuse training. The mere breath of an accusation against a cleric or religious is likely the end of their career, regardless how unsupported or unsupportable the claims. The standard is guilty until proven innocent and the standard of proof is absolute impossibility (as in accused and accuser were verifiably on different continents at the relevant time, and sometimes that is not even enough). 2. Pursuit of alleged abuse claims has become a profitable industry to loot the Church, enrich lawyers, empower politicians, and work toward silencing the Church’s well-founded, but sometimes unpopular, moral teaching. 3. The Church is not “literally still paying for lawsuits to protect the child abusers.” To the contrary, it has paid enormous sums in settlement of frequently specious claims and in the process has typically thrown accused clerics and religious to the wolves by insisting on admissions against interest and not providing any assistance in obtaining a defense. 4. The documents the Church’s detractors rely on demonstrate that over the years, bishops and religious superiors typically did the best they could in responding to abuse claims, according to the varying standards of different times and according to the evolving advice of the experts they relied on. 5. The allegations against the Church are no different than those against other religious bodies, and in particular the many public agencies and entities with power over the vulnerable. What is different is that the Church was perceived as a deep pocket, without access to unlimited public funds for defense and settlement costs, or claims of socereign immunity.
