On my last couple of cold-weather flights, I wore these: https://nymag.com/strategist/article/ann-mashburn-faye-pants-high-sport-dupe.html
Yolanda Edwards is rich and a relatively famous middle aged influencer, renowned for her sophistication by incredibly rich New York ex-fashion editors. But…she is so dowdy and unattractive and she looks like a toothpicked-legged frump. Awful.
I was wondering who she is. And why she is talking about showing ankle like that's a good (attractive?) thing. I think she looks awful in every shot.
She's a famous writer married to another famous (and extremely rich) writer. They spend their time bouncing between their multiple city and country homes in the US and Europe and writing about travel and style.
I thought it’s my jealousy but I just read a Matt Hrancek interview and he’s pretty odious to me. I cannot stand rich people who sing the praise of analog life without having some apparent understanding of how most people even middle class in the US and above live - the stressors of every day life. “Just get into watches and Negronis and buy fewer, better things like Swiss-made products, lovingly restored convertibles, and hand-sharpened stainless steel scissors for your hard-faced wife’s simple, elegant, hair cut!” Bah to him and Ms. Belgian Loafers in the desert (soooo chic, non? Just save your pennies and you can have custom $800 shoes coated in dust by Giza, after all your Mashburn pants were a steal at 3 with tax!) I’m clearly needing the Revolution to be televised and for everyone invited for Negronis with the oligarchs to be on the list. I digress. I would love to find a style page by someone who isn’t Jennifer Alfano (rich, bland, dishonest), Andrea Linnett (shopaholism as style), or Kim France (advertising the Slade blazer for 20 full years). I wish there was style and humor and brain activity in a blog for someone in middle age. Maybe I should write one.
