Can anybody share what happens after they graduate from overseas schools? Do they come back and find jobs in the States? Do US companies recruit from their campus? Do they feel missing the network if they decide to come back to work?
So many “depends” in the answer.’ We are from Texas. I have two kids who graduated from UK schools. One graduated from Bristol and the other from Edinburgh. The Bristol kid studied Economics. After graduation he got a masters degree in Econ from UCL. He had ZERO trouble getting interviews back in the US. He now works for a TOP Tier consulting firm who typically hires at Ivy’s. The Edinburgh kid studied Business Management. Went to Imperial College for a masters in Finance. He wanted to work in IB and he had two offers from NYC IBs during his final semester at Imperial. He is now in NYC. The larger employers all know the story on UK schools. Had my Bristol kid staying in the US, his choices were t50-t60 schools. I think his probability of landing the Consulting gig he got coming from those schools would be low….the combo of Bristol and UCL was amazing and every single interview he had (he had 5) this was a big advantage….. For other subjects I have no idea….
