I loved Loehmann's.

I shop online now, looking for off season bargains. I buy a lot of stuff at Land's End and JCPenney online. They are basic things, good quality, no logos. I used to think JCP was super tacky, but for basics like black and white t-shirts and pajamas, the prices can be fantastic off-season.

I shop weekly at a Marshalls near me and monthly at a TJMaxx that's a little further away.

On occasion you can find a Longchamps bag or some very nice designer pants at TJ/Marshalls, but you have to look.

I found the best deals in early February (NOW!), but you have to paw through a lot of junk. I love doing that, but most people hate it.

I've found $200 leather boots for $28, a $300 wool coat for $30, etc. They were buried in the junk.

TJMaxx and Marshalls used to be great with very low prices, but now they sell mostly made in China crap (clothing mostly) at much higher prices.

Yeah, I miss Loehmann's!! I bought some beautiful designer outfits there at very low prices. Unfortunately, those outfits are now out of style or too small as I've gotten thicker with the years, sadly.

I just wear basics now, very simple blacks, whites, neutral tan and beige with a few pops of color here and there. Wearing cheap clothes in basic colors can look OK if you accessorize with jewelry and designer scarves, good shoes, etc. [/quote]
