It’s not a buyout. I hope that most feds will be smart enough to realize this and not take it.
It is a buy out. You go on immediate administrative leave. Read the OPM memo fools.
Directly from the email: “Regardless of your daily workload” means you have a daily workload. Why wouldn’t your agency get every last drop of work out of you? “Reducing my official duties” That’s not immediate admin leave, you don’t do ANY official duties while in admin leave. my agency could simply say you don’t have to do anymore mandatory training, just post cases. “Completing reasonable and customary tasks and processes to facilitate my departure” So basically, do your job until sept but don’t have to go in office. Why would my agency give anyone admin leave. We have dockets that are hundreds of cases long. If I left tomorrow 100 cases would have to be transferred to another examiner. Also, I have quarterly quotas. If I don’t meet them in March I’m put on a quick pip which increases my work demands. If I don’t cover that I get fired within a month. I can’t risk that based on a sketchy worded email. Why would my agency take away my caseload when nothing in this email says they have to? If they truly were going to put everyone in admin leave as soon as they accept the offer then they would just say that. It’s weird you don’t see that.
