I’m so sorry, it’s been a shock of a week. And it won’t just be feds. With the new situation at NiH, it will spread to academia, universities, etc and many more people will lose their jobs. A recession is ahead. Plan now for how to get through the next few years. What a mess.
Agreed. The impact will not be limited to feds. And with regulatory agencies and DOJ frozen, biglaw will take a big hit.
This is my fear, that we're heading toward a recession. Didn't Elon say it was going to be painful?
People have been screaming recession for the last five years. With every bozo trading stocks on their cell phone, there is no way for the market to go but up. The same applies for housing - everyone's OK with signing their life away because realtors and the bank came up with the numbers. Housing prices are insanely manipulated thanks to Zillow (the Zestimate is such a joke, you can go in and edit your house and drive up the value.) The jobs report is all fake and is always revised months later. We're living in an alternate reality where everyone is high 24/7 and even if DJ himself came on live TV and said there will be a recession tomorrow, the next day the market would be up 2% based on some meme story or 10 second TikTok video. Good luck everyone. This is a joke.
