If the American VP was being chased to the basement of the US Capitol Building by a mob of hundreds chanting hang the American VP, you damn well better believe that every POTUS that has come before or after Trump would immediately answer pleas for help. Many of our former presidents would insist on venturing the 1.25 miles from The White House to The Capitol to join the fight against the attackers themselves.
