And someone being a therapist is not a guarantee that they will respond appropriately. That said, I urge the PP to consider someday trying it. My counselor never pushed or prodded me to share more, but was there when I had enough trust to take baby steps towards it. We have spent most of our time together navigating the symptoms of what happened, not the story of it.[/quote]
