OP - I am the family of 5 PP who just wrote.  In Nov. we did a 3 night RC cruise to Bahamas, and we did a day trip to Baha Mar (the other day we were in RC's private island CocoCay which is actually somewhat similar).  It turns out that I preferred just doing it as a day trip to Baha Mar and didn't wish I was there for more days, but YMMV. [/quote]

OP here - thanks for sharing! we haven't done much research on that trip yet - FIL likes Baha Mar so we may go for his milestone birthday (we have never been), but good to know its doable for a day trip![/quote]
