OP the happiest day of my life was the day I decided to give up breastfeeding. It just wasn't working for us. My son hated being put to the breast and would shake his head furiously when it was offered. I had a huge supply so I just pumped instead. And the midnight bottle was mixed with formula. By six weeks we were all sleeping from midnight to 5:30 a.m. and because one parent handled the midnight feeding, that parent got 8 hours of sleep.
Stop trying to push for Op to give up breastfeeding. That isn’t what she wants. I’m so tired of this anti-breastfeeding mantra on here. Formula is fine but op stated her desire to breastfeed.
NP. What OP wants and what she needs aren't always the same thing. Sleep seems to be the need and priority at this point. So, yes, FF would be a huge relief to both OP and her DH. Like many women who are in the thick of it, she might not realize it's always an option and sometimes the best option.
