I think PP is being a little extreme but the comparison to kids doesn't work. A kid who was pulling in their parents hand or yelling would be incredibly annoying (and yes I 100% teach my kids not to do stuff like that and if they did I would apologize for their behavior and remove them from the situation). But they aren't dangerous. An untrained dog can be very dangerous. So it's not a 1:1 and that's why people have higher expectations for the control people exercise over dogs. It's why leash laws exist but no one is required to leash their children.[/quote]
