And over the years those copies would be edited in different ways to fit the varying time slots - if a station had a lot of ads, more of the movie would be cut, less ads and they'd put more movie back in.  So we did NOT all see the same movie every year, even on the same channel.  
But I've never been able to find the ruby slipper ending....but I KNOW it was always there.  Until one day - it wasn't.  And I just stared at the screen and wanted to know where the shoes were.  It was always my favorite scene of the movie.  Leaving the audience wondering if it was really a dream...or not.[/quote]
