Overheard at SC "if we got into Clemson, we would have gone there"
SC business and SC honors college are both harder to get into than Clemson
Clemson has an honors college too
Is it ranked? SC is #1
No one gives a flying crap about honors college rankings. Employers sure as hell don't.
Must have struck a nerve and you couldn’t be more wrong. Why are you triggered?
Where are their Honors College rankings? Also, PP is correct. Employers don’t give any special preference to an Honors College kid, though those kids may have better resumes.
SC claims to be #1. Start a new thread if you want to debate honors and employers. https://sc.edu/study/colleges_schools/honors_college/about/news/2019/topranked.php
Yeah, very sketch. UofSC claims in its headline to be "the [u]top-ranked public university honors college in the nation," but concedes, as it must, in the body of its press release that "Six other universities join South Carolina in the top group: Penn State, CUNY, Arizona State, Texas (Plan II Honors Program), Kansas, and Florida Atlantic." Willingham tiered honors programs/colleges; he didn't rank them (and he hasn't even tiered them since 2018). College Transitions ranks them -- https://www.collegetransitions.com/blog/best-honors-colleges/ -- and UofSC comes in #7, six slots ahead of Clemson (and six behind top-ranked UGA).
Both ranking systems have South Carolina listed as a top program and ahead of Clemson. Thanks for sharing.
