Boring, yes, but the area near USC is the liveliest part of town with a lot of nice shops and restaurants, walkable from campus. Having said that, my son is at Clemson and absolutely loves it. The town is big enough to have some choices of where to eat, the lake is great, and the campus is beautiful. Yes, the town is small and it's in a rural area, but you do have Greenville about 45 minutes away. Greenville is a lovely city with a great downtown. My son doesn't feel the need to go there very often, though. Maybe once a semester. [/quote]
